Write TWO SEPARATE checks: one for taxes, and one for recycling and dogs.
2. RECYCLING: All homeowners must pay recycling bills of $75 by January 31, 2010.
If delinquent, it becomes a special charge on your 2010 tax bill. Please use the
recycling & garbage service to keep our town litter free.
3. DOG OWNERS: Proof of vaccination is required to receive license. Complete enclosed form
and return with payment. LICENSE FEES: Neutered or spayed - $3.00. Not Neutered or Spayed - $8.00.
4. BUILDING AND DRIVEWAY PERMITS: Building permits are required in the town for any project
of $2500.00 or more. Cost is $50.00. Driveway permits = $30. Contact Ed Kuhn: 715-743-4191.
5. LANDOWNERS: Please keep 12 foot clearance from edge of roadway free of lawn ornaments and all
decorative items to allow for snowplow and grader clearance.
6. SNOW REMOVAL: Pushing driveway snow across road, leaving ridges or excess snow, is illegal
and subject to fine pursuant WI State Statute 86.01 & 86.07.
7. ROAD RIGHT-OF-WAYS: The Town will be continuing its ongoing project of clearing road
right-of-ways throughout the Town within 33' from the centerline of existing roads. All trees
and brush will be left beyond the right-of-way on the landowners property. Contact the Town
Board with any questions or concerns.
8. TOWN INFORMATION: Town information is posted at 3 locations within the Town:
Town Hall at W3808 Hwy 73, intersection of Cardinal Ave and Hwy 73, and the intersection
of Robin Ave and Hwy 73. Also at http://www.townofwashburn.net. Contact a board member with
